PUNE: Former MLA Mohan Joshi, vice-president of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress, has been appointed as the honorary president of Maharashtra Vidyarthi Sahayak Mandal. After the demise of principal Dr. P. C. Shejwalkar, the honorary chairmanship of the organization was vacant. The board of directors of the society unanimously appointed Mohan Joshi to the post.
Mohan Joshi was felicitated on behalf of the organization, recently. Suman Gholap, chairman, Maharashtra Vidyarthi Sahayak Mandal, Prasad Abnave, secretary, Prathamesh Abnave, director along with teaching and non-teaching staff were present.
Joshi said, “I have seen the progress of the organization since my school days. The organization has progressed due to the efficiency of Guruvarya S. D. Abnave, Dr. Vikas Abnave. The joint efforts of Prasad Abnave and the new young board of directors will take the organization to a new level.”
